Dad's T-shirt Quilt

This is a T-shirt quilt I made for my Dad who is also a U.S. Navy veteran. I gave it to him for his birthday this year and he loved it! He was so proud of it, he took it to go show his neighbors.

A long while ago, probably three years, he had asked me if I wanted his old Navy T-shirts otherwise, he was going to discard them. Knowing that I had way too many of my own Navy T-shirts, I told him to send them to me and I would make him a quilt with them. Well, since there was no timeline associated with project, it was set aside for one day when I could get to it. Eventually, enough time had passed that I am sure he completely forgot what I told him I would do, heck, I almost forgot... LOL. I came across the project and figured I should probably get busy. This was the final result. He was impressed, and surprised!
