About the
Salty Stitcher

     Hi, I'm Betsy Green, the Salty Stitcher.  I am a veteran with 30 years of service in the United States Navy. I live with my husband, Chris and our three standard poodles in Milton, FL.  Don't worry, the poodles are non-shedding and I don't allow them to quilt.

      I started my quilting journey in 1997 when I was looking for a community service project I could do in the evenings. My sister suggested that I make quilts for at risk babies and then sent me a couple of pattern books for baby quilts.  Armed only with a rotary cutter, mat, ruler and a 20 year old Kenmore® sewing machine, I called my mom for help.  She explained how to use the ruler with the rotary cutter and how to read the cutting instructions in the pattern and I was off!  I was immediately hooked!  I purchased my Handi Quilter Infinity 26" Longarm Machine in 2015 and haven't looked back.
